Common Issues I help with are:
Anxiety, school refusal, behavioural issues, emotional regulation, self-esteem issues, deliberate self-harm, transitional issues, stress, grief, and depression.
I have worked with teenagers and young adults in various roles in different community settings for over 20 years. Currently I am working part time as a counsellor in a local high school and have done so for the past seven years. I have Masters in Counselling and I am member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
I enjoy helping young people overcome, get through and manage hard things in life, and equip them with tools to continue on their journey of growing into the great person they are created to be.
You can contact me via the message box to the right, via email or by phone. I have other professional contacts I can refer you on to if I am not a good fit for the issues or if the young person does not feel at ease with me. The majority of teenagers and young adults feel comfortable opening up to me even if they were unsure about going to counselling initially.
